MEP to autocad conversion

I work in an environment where there is also AutoCAD. Rather than me having
to down convert my drawings it would be very helpful if AutoCAD sensing the
drawing is MEP do its own conversion as needed. Their drawings would then
look as mine do.

Is it too much to ask for an MEP object enabler to be available for those users of vanilla AutoCad when a new release of MEP escapes?

Any productivity gains are lost several times over as a result of the additional file management required as a result of having to save to AutoCad format.

Even that doesn't work, it looks like
....

There are some architects that we work with that we have to explode all the aec objects for them to be able to see them when they open it. Depending on the size of the file, this is very time consuming and if your equipment isn't great it can crash the computer. I agree there need to be something in the vanilla that will enable someone to see aec objects.

I find it useful to select all AEC objects (not nested in blocks) using:
(ssget (list (cons 0 "AEC*")))

then "explode" "previous" ""

this does not seem to be time consuming
