MEP 2009 SNAPS

MEP Snaps now turn off with F3, this is a pain and needs to be separate from
the regular acad snaps. You can open the snap meun turn them off manually
but then have to go back when you want them back on. There needs to be a
differnt function key for the MEP snaps.

+1.
I was just going to post this but you beat me to it.

I leave alot of Osnaps on all the time, but that is a problem when circuiting, where you only neen the electrical conector snap on. No good way to switch back & forth. I end up leaving them all on and being really careful wher I pick.

+1 here too.

I like it the way it was before (toggle osnaps, while MEP snaps stay on). I've never had a reason to turn off MEP snaps on-the-fly, but I'm always needing the ACAD osnaps out of my way temporarily, while still using MEP snaps.

Is there a way to code it such that we can leave ACAD osnaps on F3, and configure MEP snaps for a function key that we don't use... say F4? I know some people use tablets, so I don't suggest a universal F-key swap, though I'm all FOR it if that particular toggle is obsolete.

I was hoping they had fixed this for the 09 version.

Please get a separate key to turn on and off the MEP snaps....different from the regular osnaps!

In other words....ditto to the people who have posted above me.

Thank you.

This snaps have to be separated so we can toggle. What are they waiting for?...
Has anyone found an alternative for this?...

Thanks

They have not fix this issue in 2010. The way they inform us about the new features, I wish they tell us what they took out and what they mess up. They are pulling the carpet on me. Instead of fixing the problem with the older version they take out the one that were working perfect.

Not sure which forum and wishlist Autodesk pays more attention to... their own (this one) or AUGI. Maybe if more folks vote on the AUGI Wishlist, this item will get more attention...

Vote for MEPSNAPS! 😛

I agree! MEP snap became a big issue for our company. It became a lot of pain compare with the way we did before.

The snap to connector seemed to work better in 2008 mep and since we switched to 2009 last year we all hate the way the snap to electrical connector works having to turn all of our regular snaps on and off without the use of the F3 key it would not even bother me if you would have to go into the settings to toggle the MEP snaps, like what was stated above F3 for regular snaps and leave the MEP snaps on all the time unless you were to go into the settings and make a change.

AutoCAD MEP 2011, fixed the MEP Osnaps!!
The MEP Osnaps can now be toggled using a Shift + F3
