What's that dot on my devices?

That one, right there. It's not an insertion point or connector. Doesn't
appear to be part of the view block, either.

I suspect it actually is the connector... at least some artifact of the connector.

I.e., if you go to the Display tab of the Properties Palette.
At the bottom , click the Select Component button, then click on the dot, I suspect that it will select the Connector Display component... which, typically by default, is turned off.

This dot is placed according to the connector position defined in the style. I.e., if you modify those values, the position of the dot moves. What is odd, however, is that the position of the dot doesn't scale according to the drawing scale nor the annotation plot size.

PDMODE doesn't affect it. As Martin said, it's a vestige of the connector. I
can turn it off in display manager. Its location matches the connector
location defined in the style. For example, my duplex outlet has its
connector at 0,3/4,0 and the dot is 3/4" up from the connector's insertion
point regardless of the anno scale. (Not any kind of a problem, by the way,
just a curiosity.)

I know this is an old post, but how do I turn the connector dot off in Display Manager? I don't see an item related to electrical connector. Tried turning "wire" off but that doesn't do it...
