Video - Display Thru Xrefs Explained

Fellow ABSers,

I recently put together a video for a Subscription case that covered how to control object display through xrefs. So of course I immediately thought of all of you out there who might be wondering "How does that really work?".

Without further ado, I've attached it to this post. Unfortunately I had to split it up into two pieces due to sizing constraints. This is not a formal solution, so it's a bit rough around the edges, so don't jump on me over the quality.

As always, let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Very well done.

I need to get myself a product like Camtasia or something along those lines for archiving my own thoughts about some of the ABS stuff I run into all the time.

I see a part 2 in your replied post... was there supposed to be a part 1 in
the initial post?

I see them both thru the web...perhaps try that instead of your news reader?

What am I doing wrong that my xref doesn't show up
in my display manager?  I inserted the xref, and tried a bunch of
different things, but cannot get it to work like the video shows, can anyone
help?  What must I do to be able to modify the displays on an xref and how
do I insert it to give that option?

Thanks

Hi Mike,
The Xref drawing will only show up in your Display Manager if it's actually open in the program. In my video I had it open at the time for illustration purposes. All the currently open drawings will show up in the Display Manager.

Thanks Kyle, I got that working now, but I'm trying
to change the display reps on piping.  Even when I do what the video shows,
it still doesn't come out correctly.  I will have to research it a little
more, I'm positive the problem lies with me.  Baby steps, but I'm getting
there.  Thanks again
