Upgrading to 2006

We are finally upgrading from ADT 3.3 to BS2006 (they're a little slow
here). If any of you were putting together a system, what would your
minimums be? Processor? Ram? Video board? I assume that XP Pro is the
recommended platform.... Any help will be appreciated....

We have Pentium 4 3.2 GHz with Hyper-threading. 2 Gigs of DDR2 533Mhz RAM, 80 Gig Hard Drive, 256 Meg ATI Radeon x600 Pro video card, Windows XP Professional. We also got DVD / CDR payers. the software Autodesk is putting out now comes on DVD.

This is a 64 bit processor there is a 64 Bit Windows XP Pro but ABS doesn't run too good on it. I would stick with the 32 bit operating system for now.

Also, Duel Core processors are out there. ABS doesn't take advantage of this yet but the operating systems sure do.

Good luck.
