Unhandled Exception after SP1 installed AutoCAD MEP 2013

I have had AC13MEP crashing consistently (Bear in mind this software has worked fine for the previous 6 months since I installed it) a few times a day and finally decided to log an error online through the automatic popup. I got an email from AutoDesk CER recommending I install the maintenance update. I clicked on the link like a 'drone' and downloaded.

AutoCAD MEP 2013 x64 Service Pack 1 (52.159 MB)

...and installed.

Now, lo and behold, I can't use AutoCAD at all; why am I not surprised!

So I restarted a couple of times, to no avail. Error message attached, ye olde Unhandled Exception Error...

So now I am on the search for a solution.

I found a info on how to uninstall the "Service Pack" (cough), which I did, thinking that all would return to normal, NOT.

My search continues..... in the meantime I have $5.5 thousand dollars worth of software I can't use and clients banging on my door wanting documents, and nowhere to turn to, as usual.

Does anybody out there any wise words of advice?

Thanks. I will post here if I find a solution.

Can you try to uninstall the update?

My apologies....I will try to put down some of my thoughts based on post:

1.  Unhandled errors are notoriously hard to resolve.  Put this into google:

unhandled site:http://upandready.typepad.com/

If we have solved this error, we would have documented it our blog.

2.  If it was working, I would suggest maybe using a Windows Restore point and go back before you ran the update.

3.  One reason for intermittent crashing is hardware and graphics cerifications.  Please check out the following:
