SP1 Save error???

I've updated an existing drawing now when trying to save a drawing with SAVE or even SAVEAS, I get the following error: [[

Document "T:\Pb11m210.dwg" has a command in progress. Hit enter to cancel or [Retry]:
]]

I've never seen this before. There is no command running!! I can draw, run the purge, etc. but when I try to SAVE or run an audit I get the error above. How do I save my drawing?? I do NOT want to lose this information.

After trying everything to get my drawing to save with no luck, I tried the close. Luckily this did work. Does anyone know what caused the Command running error?

I've seen this in vanilla TuTu (A2k2) when I was experimenting with an
Acad.dvb and Acad.lsp. I never did successfully track it down.

After installing SP1 I received the same error as you did. Other commands
work, but not the Save or Saveas. After playing with several commands, mine
finally did save. It appears we have a bug.

Just adding my name to the list... it just happened to me... I used the task manager to shut down ABS2004... I couldn't be bothered trying to solve this one. it's out of my league.

This is not a ABS thing - affects ADT (sp2) also,
just curious if ADSK has it figured out yet

I have noticed it intermittently

Same for me. Typing exit pulls up a dialog box that doesn't seem to have any problem saving before closing autocad. But then you have to restart every thing

Hello, Here is a work around that worked for me. Go to options > open and save tab and under the File Safety Precautions change the automatic save to 1. When the file is automatically saved, track down the .sv$ file and change it to a .dwg file.

I used to have this problem at my old company and I thought it had to do with using the 3D orbit command window. If you hit the escape button instead of using the pull down and exit on 3D orbit....the drawing seemed to think that there was still a command running. I haven't had the problem at the new job.
