Sloped pipe and unwanted shifting around

While running Cast Iron soil pipe Bell x Spigot routing preference we experience a lot of unwanted shifting of pipe runs while connecting to it or cutting in new fittings, moving one portion makes another portion jump around etc. Is there a way to lock down portions of our pipe models so the new work can’t make the old work shift around? This happens with all sloped pipe, No Hub, PVC, Bell x Spigot etc. Any help out would be appreciated. We’re running 2016 AMEP.

if you need to move a run it is better to use the move command instead of the aecbstickymove. In fact never use the aecbstickymove with sloped pipe. Just get used to snapping to the pipe center lines as your base point and insertion point.

Additionally once you get a section of pipe moved where you want it, change its layer to a locked layer. An easy way to do this using the built in tools is to just create a new system similar to the original whose layer is locked. Moving it back is more difficult as u will need to unlock the layer first. Don't forget to re lock it afterwards.

Other than that it is just experience on what what's vs what does not.
