schematic line gaps

When I draw a new system schematic line over an existing valve where the layer is off, a gap shows up on the new shematic line (where a valve exists on a demo layer). how do i correct the schematic line display to not show a gap where there is a valve on a hidden layer?

Did you try running OBJRELUDPATE on the drawing?  It should regenerate the drawing and remove any legacy gaps such as this.
