Parametric Failure

Hello,

I have some questions regarding the MV Part parametric modeler.

1) Can anyone confirm that complicated parts (i.e. 30 - 50 parameters with
10 - 1000 values each) containing custom parameters with the foreword slash
symbol used in some of the parameters will cause the modeler to fail upon
part insertion. I have created using for example "N/A" for a parameter value
and the more complicated ones fail upon insertion. If I go to the add part
dialog and use the filter tab to fill in part values everything seems fine
until I go to insert the part then one of two things happens either the part
size will change to the smallest part available or no part will be visible
and the schedule tables will show all question marks. I'm assuming that the
program must be interpreting this symbol as a division sign and trying to
evaluate an expression? I checked the parameter configuration and the
parameters in question are set to string so this shouldn't be happening.

2) Is there a limit on the maximum number of potential part sizes in one
part family?

3) Should the add MV Part dialog remember the values that are entered on a
previous insert in the same session of ABS? Previous sessions? If a part
custom part is inserted then the add MV Part dialog is closed then reopened
it is remember the part family but not the parameter values that were last
used.

4) Can anyone tell me the theoretical minimum value the modeler can handle
for dimensions on profiles? I seem to hit a limit @ 1e-5 beyond which the
modeler becomes quirky.

Thanks,

Shane
