Hi Phil -

There really isn't any way to do this out of the box. I've created a very
crude VBA routine to do this and posted it to customer files.

In case you don't know the addresses for customer files are:

news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.customer-files
WebBrowser
http://discussion.autodesk.com/WebX?14@@.ee940b5.

The post title is "Blocks -> AECB Devices"

The routing is extremely crude at this point and has virtually no error
trapping but it might allow you to "convert" some of the standard AutoCAD
blocks to devices (hint, when I "delete" the original blocks, I'm just
putting them on a different layer and turning the layer off, so hopefully
I'm not destroying the drawing 😉
