MEP 2014 Profile

I just received a new laptop and decided to go ahead and start using MEP 2014...I have been stuck in 2013 just because I have been so busy I just didn't take the time to install the upgrade. Anyways, I exported my profile to our server then imported into 2014 and "Set Current". Everything was fine but every time I reopen MEP it goes back to the default profile settings and I have to set mine current then adjust things (I have properties box, layers, xref, etc all open on my laptop screen and the main drawing on a wide screen monitor). I asked the 2 other guys running MEP and they have the same problem, one of them doesn't even create a profile to set current each time, he adjusts his cursor and everything every time he opens it. Can anyone tell me how to keep the settings so we don't have to waste time doing this every time we open the software?? Thanks!

The Profile that is load when AutoCAD is opened is based off of the icon you use to open it.  right click on the icon go to properites than Shortcut tab.  under the short cut tab the path under "Target" needs to be edit.

ex. "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\acad.exe" /ld "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\AecBase.dbx" /p "AutoCAD MEP (US Imperial)" /product "MEP" /language "en-US"

type in your profile name in the "" after the P (where its dashed above)

There are other ways to get your profile to load at start up.  Google AutoCAD profiles and more articles with more details should come up.
