Labeling Data Outlets

Is there a way to automatically label data outlets with a custom name & tied to a data base so that if I get done labeling a floor if I happen to miss one I can just add a port or two and the devices that I did already label would automatically update?  I would also like to be able to export the labels to an easy to read Excel spreadsheet, if possible.

To make sure I understand, you have a scenario where you have devices connected (circuited) and numbered, 1 through 10.

Then, you insert a device, perhaps you want it at position 5… you want the previously circuited elements 5-10 to become 6-11.

This would be possible with the Electrical Project Database APIs using the .NET programming interface.
