drawing HVAC ductwork I want to use mitered elbows for all 90 deg turns and
radiused elbows for non-90 turns. First there is no way that I can tell to do
this. Second I typically draw with the mitered elbows and then use duct
fitting modify to change the non-90's back to radiused. This worked fine in
BS-3. In BS-2004 it will change one elbow to radiused but when I go to change
the next one it will convert the first one back to a mitered elbow. This is a
bog problem for me. Any solutions to either problem?

Hi,
It is not possible to define different part types
for different elbow angles in preferences as you want. The problem you have
found with modifying the elbows seems to be an error when modifying two
fittings in the same duct run. I have logged it as a defect (DID502815). I
haven't found any work around for that problem yet:-(
The only tip I can give you is to switch between
mitered and radius elbow when you are laying out duct work. Click on the arrow
next to the Preference button in the Add Dashboard to quickly switch
between different parts. This might not be an acceptable solution for you but
it is the only one I can think of right now.

& Kevin,
Thank you both for the help. That is a pretty decent work around. I assume
that an update to correct that will amek its way down the pipe sometime in the
near future but for now I can get by. Also, just as a suggestion for a future
"feature" the ability to specify different elbow fittings for 90 degree turns
and non-90 would be very helpful. There are quite a few people out here that
use mitered elbows for 90 degree turns but spec radiused elbows for non-90
degree turns.
Thanks again for the help.
Chris
