If you dont want all that stuff you should use plain AutoCAD.

Some of us got MEP and want to run it as plain AutoCAD. I for one am running using the acad.cui as the main. I do not have the abs cui loaded at all.

I have run into some bugs with the third party software, which they say is from the MEP loading as the description above details.

Hopefully someone has a better answer for how to prevent the other items from loading?

There is an option to load a plain AutoCAD profile on install.

Yup, I used that. That sets your main cui to the acad.cui. However, sometimes the extra bases will still load.

I figured out a little more. In order to use the vanilla profile, any of the drawings and templates you use must not have ever had the bases loaded into them....otherwise they will load the bases. I pulled out an old templete and use that in addition to the profile thing. I'd like to find a way to purge the bases and then all my problems will be solved.

All righty...figured something else out. It's the demand load options (see attachment). You need to have "DEMANDLOAD" set to 0 in order to not have the modules load. I set this in a startup routine so that we won't have to worry about that.

You could play with the other options for loading and they should work as well.

Pardon me, it should be set where DEMANDLOAD = 2. That's for command invoke. AutoCAD functionality will be lost if it is 0. For example, the command BATTMAN won't work with demandload = 0.

I found a better and more permanent fix. In the registry, if you select the profile name, some keys show up. Your profile must have a DWORD called IsPureAcadProfile and set to 1. This allows use of only AutoCAD functions.
