I am not new to CAD but I am new to AutoCad. I am trying to set up a standard detail template sheet with 20 details, each with its own viewport. I have a layout with border, title block etc. saved as a .dwg file but I can't seem to get a viewport array command to insert 20 viewports into my drawing. How do you do this? How do you get 20 details, with several different scales, into the drawing? Do you put them all on one "model space" drawing randomly then adjust them later in paper space or what? Is there a better way?
