Hiding polygons of 3D Solids in viewports?

Does not seem to be a VS/ viewstyle issue. Got an ACAD drawing from a contractor with 3D Solids in viewports set to 'Hidden' looking perfect when plotted, but when I copied the viewports/3D Solids to another dwg, I see all the polygons of the 3D Solids in my viewports when doing a plot preview. Is there a per DWG setvar/ where is the setting for this? Thanks!

Select the viewport and change the shade plot setting (on the properties palette) to hidden or even better legacy hidden.

Choosing "Hidden" hides the lines but you lose your pen settings, legacy hidden is the old school HIDE style and your pen settings still plot correctly.

I hope this helps.
