Flex Duct not Connecting to Diffuser

I connect my flex duct from diffuser to my main duct run and goto move the diffuser using the middle grip and flex duct is not moving with diffuser any ideas why?

I'am using MEP snaps and snapping the flex to both instances.

Try set the duct preferences to use flex for the final connection to the air terminal. I generally connect duct to the air terminal allowing flex to be added automatically due to preference settings. My flex is set to the spline 'S' shaped option which seems more reliable and useful. Please note this is for ABS 2007 and I have no experience with the latest version.
