File locking

Using AutoCAD MEP 2014, SP 1 here. Lately, I am having problems where after doing some work, if I try to save the file, I get an error message that the file is locked.

I am using AutoCAD in the same manner as I have for years and years, and never had this issue before.

It seems to have started after SP-1?

Anyone with ideas?

I have not heard of this issue with anyone else but can you test uninstalling SP1 and see if you still have this problem?

Uninstalled...rebooted.
Now I get this error:
[cid:image001.png@01CEF1C9.6475B800]
I hit close, it loads some more, and then I get:
[cid:image002.png@01CEF1C9.6475B800]
It then exits.
Standalone license.
I will try a reinstall now.

I have run into this problem before, and sometimes the.dwl still exists after you are out of a dwg. Look for the .dwl file, and if no one else is in the dwg, delete the .dwl file and see if that helps. Otherwise, SaveAs to a new name will save your work too. Not sure if this is exactly your problem, but this worked for me.
