FATAL ERROR

After working on Building System 3 software for a few minutes and choosing an orbit command,
the software stops functioning and gets a fatal error. This is what I get: "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled
Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 0a". Can somebody tell me what to do or is this
a bug of the software. Thanks.

Evercel1,

My first thought is that you might have hardware acceleration running. If
you do, have you tried disabling it? What is the OS you are using? Is it
up-to-date for service packs? Can you consistently reproduce the crash? If
so, please provide a detailed set of steps.

Thanks!

I have Windows 2000 and I don't have a hardware accelerator. PC support changed
my video card with 128 MB and still I had this fatal error. Also our support
people always updates our software.

Edmundo,

Hardware Acceleration for ABS can be turned on in Format > Options > System
Tab > Properties Button > with the Software or Hardware radio button.
Please confirm that this is set to Software.

For the crash with orbit, is it specific to a single dwg file or are you
having this problem with all dwg files? If this is specific to a single dwg
file, please send me the dwg file at aaron.gardner@autodesk.com. Also
include the exact steps you followed to repeat the crash.

Thanks!
