duct takeoffws

Heres the deal. I have been running abs3 for 3 months. Just ran into a pronblem doing take offs. i draw a duct @ a 15 degrees. Then i go the add another duct 90 degrees off of it. Doing this cause a fitting that is 15 to 20 times a longer then normal. it there a way to fix this. it just started to happen.

We have also had this problem. It seems that if you are not drawing the duct parallel to the World UCS coordinate axes, it makes duct takeoffs longer. I've tried changing the UCS and snap rotation with no luck. If you use the Duct Modify and change the width of the main duct then change it back, it seems to correct the problem. It's too time consuming, so I only change it when needed for clarity or space constraints.

Hi rdgusa,

Which takeoff did you use? Would you mind
sending me a drawing?

Thanks,
