delete old object enabler

opened up a ductwork dwg.  not sure what version but believe either 2014 or 2013.

i am using trial version of autocad 2014 to open.

dwg opens and Proxy info window pops up.

says i need an object enabler.

i tried to download fabrication CADmep OE

near the end when i click 'Install' a red x shows up stating a previous enabler program is present and needs to be removed first.

i cannot find any other enabler programs.

is there some way to fix this ?

the problem is i cannot see the dwg the way it should be.  ductwork shows up as blocks and there is no text or dimensions

This is the AutoCAD MEP forum and is dedicated to questions regarding AutoCAD MEP.  I believe you are speaking about FAB MEP which requires an object enbabler to view its objects inside of AutoCAD.  AutoCAD ships with the ability to see AutoCAD MEP objects without an enabler.  In either case.  I believe you should ask your question in the FAB MEP forum found at the link below.
