Connecting Brazed to Welded Pipe, Finds no solution

As a standard <2" pipe is usually copper, >2" pipe is usally steel. Hence branch lines to mechanical equipment from your chilled water mains when trying to connect pipes always gives a problem. The connections always state dissimilar systems/pipe fittings no solutions exist.

What is the common practice to get around this, to connect copper/brazed branch lines into 8" steel/welded pipes?

Have you tried Desktop==>Style manager? Select
from the list on left Connector styles, then double click on Pipe connector
style and study Rules tab.
