Checking workflow: Circuiting Mech/Plumbing Equipment

I want to make sure I am doing the 'best way'.  I am xrefing in a Mechnical dwg into my electrical dwg that has it's epd defined and running along fine with my lights and recepts.  I want to now circuit up the mech equipment.  I am using the XRef_Edit to pull the equipment directly into my elec dwg, then coverting the equipt to a device, assign the elec connector values and assign it to a circuit.  Is that right?  Seems ugly, but can't see another way to do it.

I've typically seen where one will place a 'junction box' device, and circuit to that.. avoids the ref-edit, convert to device, etc..There's nothing necessarily wrong with what you're doing, but there's no real benefit to copying the equipment into the 'host' elec model.
