BS3 catalog use in BS4

I was hoping to use my old catalogs from BS3 in BS4
until a new catalog can be prepared using the BS4 generic catalog.  The
problem I'm having is that BS4 will not recognize the Grooved connector when I
try to use grooved pipe.  Is the Grooved connector name changed somehow
that BS4 doesn't recognize it?  Is there something I can change in the
catalog to make it work?

Thanks,
Mike

Can anyone from Autodesk help out about this
problem?  It should be an easy enough fix, how can I get my grooved
connection from ABS3 piping to work in Plumbing 3D?  Is there a way to add
this connection type to the plumbing catalog?   Is it just an XML edit
or some other more hidden process?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike!

I just changed my catalog in options to use the
ABS3 Pipe catalog and I can use the grooved connector...

Is it just the grooved connector that you can't
use? If you go into the pipe preferences and change to grooved connector,
can you see anything in the table or is it empty?

Have you tried and do a catalogregen after
switching catalogs? (I didn't have to, but you never know)

If you use the ABS2004 Pipe US Imperial Catalog can
you use the grooved connection then?

If nothing of this helps could you zip and post/or
send me your catalog and I'll try it and check and see if I can
find anything wrong with it.

Thanks

Hakan,

I posted a picture of the error message and a
small file of Acid fittings in the Autocad.customer-files area with the same
subject.  If you put the Items in your piping folder then try to use them,
you will most likely get the same error I get.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I tested the parts that you posted under customer
files...

There is one vital part missing - the connector.
Don't know if you have it on your computer and just missed to attached it to the
file, but if I defined the connector, your parts worked on my
computer.

Attaching a zip file to the posting in customer
files.

Thanks for the fix.  I didn't need the
connector part in the old BS3 catalogs, so didn't think to add them here, but
that fixed the problem.  Sorry that I didn't thank you earlier, but I
managed to get away on a short vacation.   Thanks again.
