Black screen when saving

My screen goes black when I save a drawing and can take several seconds to save, I have noticed other threads refering to same issue but none have mentioned a resolution, the latest one I found was in 2013.

I was just wondering has this issue been sorted and how.

I have been using MEP 2014 for several months now and the issue gets worse when drawing ductwork or pipework, and gets that bad sometimes i simply have resolved to drawing the pipework and ductwork, walls etc using 3d solids, this way the drawing saves in a flash, saving me pulling my hair out.

Before you save a file press F2 this will bring up the text box. you will be able to see what acad is doing instead of just sitting there wondering. AND pulling your hiar out. You may also want to purge and audit the dwg before saving so it takes less time to do.
