AutoCAD MEP 2013 - Pipe Display Components Contour

Hello All,

I have no problems with changing the display components of duct, but the pipe display component 'Contour' & 'Contour - Hidden' are the only ones that have any effect on the display od piping in the 'Plan' Display Representation.  Sometimes, I turn off the 'Connector' display to show a continuation mark.  It works fine on ductwork, but pipe connectors only turn off with 'Contour' along with all the other parts of the pipe.

What is the definition of each Pipe Display Component, i.e. Connector.  What is the difference between 'Single Line' and 'Single Line - Graphical'?

Is there something I'm missing on Piping?
