AutoCAD 2014 with AutoCAD MEP 2014 xref

Hi,

Is it possible to control the appearance of an xref'ed autocad MEP file with pipes in plain autocad?

In MEP, we have different display configurations, but when in xref, pipes will only show in schematic representation. Furthermore, pipe labels in that xref don't appear with the same scale, even though the annotation scale is set correctly...

Do you know what's going on?

Thanks

In MEP, we have different display configurations...

Why? Make the same screen configuration by synchronizing with standard?

Have you tried to apply "Object Enabler" to see MEP objects in the Autokad?

yes, I already have the object enabler installed, but the issue remains...

what I meant was that in MEP we can choose between "MEP Design" display configuration or "MEP Schematic" display configuration...can't we do that in plain AutoCAD?

Try using SETXREFCONFIG. Select the xref and you will be given an option to override the display configuration. Hit F2 to display the text screen and you will see the available display configurations and then type the number of the desired display config.

Hope that helps

Thanks! That's just what I needed!

Now the only problem is that annotative labels do not have the same size as the original file, even though the annotation scale is set to precisely the same as the original file...Do you know what could be wrong about that?
