Adding MEP Hangers to a tool palette

Does anyone know if it is possible to add MEP hangers to tool palettes?  I am looking to add them to a palette the same way that structural styles are added.  I would like to have the different styles as different objects on a palette.  I have been unsuccessful so far in my attempts.  I think it is probably because the hangeradd command starts a dialog and not an actual process.  Has anyone tried this and been successful?  Thanks in advance for any information you might have.

It is not an object supported by the tool palettes at this time.  Would make a great wish request if you want to leave some feedback at this link.

Thank you for the reply. It was the answer I was expecting. Since I have your ear about hangers I have another quick question. I have added a block subtraction to a structural style in a model display configuration override. I cannot get that override to transfer over to the hangers. Is it possible for structural styles that have block overrides to display correctly on mep hangers?

Wow.  May as well be speaking greek!  We don't understand what you mean by using a block subtraction with a structural style.  Please elaborate.  Fell free to make us a video.  www.jingproject.com

I picture is worth a thousand words.

Below is the picture of the structural style I created.  You can see the holes in the structural style created by adding a block subtraction.

This is how I added the block subtraction to the style.  I created the "hole" as a block and then subtracted it from the style.

This is a screenshot of the MEP hanger which does not show the "hole" even though I am in the same display configuration.

Any thoughts?  Or does the style overide not transfer to the hanger?

Those were custom hangers that I created from scratch.  I offered them for download in a previous post.  You can can find the post here

I doubt those holes are transferred to the hanger style.  Those hangers are objects that use their own display components.  The Architectural Structural members have their own display components.  The holes as you pointed out must be some sort of separate style that subtracts from the Architectural structural member styles, but not from the hanger objects.  It would probably be a good idea to pass on to the feedback site here.

Hi Keith

I have the same "problem" you mencion.

I manage to create a structural beam with the holes easily but when it comes to "use" that procedure to create an hanger it doesn't show the holes.

Are there any knews since your post?

If you have could you be gently to share them with us?!

Kinfd regards,
