A way to select MEP objects by PropertyData.

Is there a way to select MEP objects by PropertyData?

This is AutoCAD MEP 2014.

Free App on the exchange site can do it.

Coins Property Select

just following up on this one, Coins Property Select is really great, but one weakness with this utility is that it has no method to either save the search parameters or to accept input via command line (which could then be exploited by way of macro). This means that every time one wants to do a search the entire process is fairly manual.

I have a search I repeat many times (which highlights all devices not assigned to circuits) and I would really like to be able to reduce that operation to a couple of clicks...

If anyone has ideas let me know, thanks. I guess it should be possible to write a .lsp routing that that executes a single custom search and appends all results to the selection set but I'm not knowledgeable enough about that to write it.

I use this to automate window forms.  AutoIt

It should work just fine with automating the coins property select dialog although I have not tested it.

The general idea would be to send keystrokes to the command line via autoit to start the Coins Property Select Dialog.  You would then have autoit select the correct dropdown boxes and fill in the text and hit ok for you.

That is the general idea.
