2014 BDS Install

Tried Download- Failed

Requested Media.

USB Arrived.

Ran Installation.

Message apeared saying;

Trying to install 64 bit on 32 bit Operating System System (XP pro 32).

Get 32 bit installer from media or Autodesk.

I Can't find this in either location and will it allow me to install.

(When I requested the USB media there was no option to pick 32 bit software version).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Ian

Hello Ian!

I wanted to add that the 2014 BDS, FDS, and ECS media currently does not include 32Bit software, even though it's supported on certain operating systems and is available for download.

We are looking into the issue and would recommend checking out this AutodeskHelp blog post for future updates.

Wrong. There is support for 32 bit XP Home and Pro.

Problem is that there is only 64 bit on the USB's Distributed.

32 Bit is only available through download.

My problem is how to get the download to work.

Thanks for the link though.

Cheers

Thanks
I will try the other download options.
It was taking 4-5 Hours and was corrupted in the end.
I may try to download at home as I have a better connection than at work. Only problem is how I get it back here.

Cheers

Sure thing Ian!

Do you have a DVD burner at home or a thumb drive that you could put the .exe file on to transfer?

What download method had you previously tried? Browser Download is the standard form (Download Now extracts while you download, and Install Now extracts and installs while you download) and will probably give you the least amount of grief. If you haven't already it's probably a good alternative to try at work.

Philip,

Tried the install now method and this worked. It took time though sssssichin between download and istall but it was ready to go this morning.

I probably should have looked at the other methods first but you know what it's like on download day.

The only drawback is that I can't copy this download to use on our other seat.

For anyone with multiple seats download to a shared network drive as it only works from it's original downlod location.

Off to repeat the process.

Thanks for your help.

Ian
