2010 MEP - Redefining the Catalog Parts in a Drawing

RedifineFromCatalog is supposed to redefine fittings in the drawing to comply with the matching fitting in the catalog.
We have a case where two fittings seem to update but two other similar do not.
What could we be missing?
What are the finer points of this functionality?

Never heard of such functionality but my interest is peaked. It sounds like this tool could possibly fix some legacy drawing issues we have.
What is the actual command? I searched help and found nothing.
Also tried command line:
RedifineFromCatalog
_RedifineFromCatalog
_aecbRedifineFromCatalog
_aecRedifineFromCatalog

... oops... typing error.
RedefineFromCatalog is the command.

You can type 'Red' and click the tab key to cycle through commands that start with 'Red'

RedifineFromCatalog redefines both segment and fitting to comply the matching ones in catalog. It's mainly applied on those legacy MEP drawings while users install a new version AME.

yes... I understand.
So is this only to update older version object originating in past software version?
What I was wanting is a trustworthy method to update objects in existing drawings if you find you need to make a change to a catalog.
... what would prevent this command from working in this case? Like I say, some fittings updated and some did not.

The RedefinefromCatalog should redefine all the objects in the drawing to comply standard template, if there's exception, that may be a bug.

I know what a 'template' is... a dwt file
I know what a 'standard' is... a consistent practice that is done the same way on all jobs or a drawings for instance.
so, what is a 'standard template' when it comes to making a change on a dimension for a fitting for example?.
