Using Dynamic Blocks for electrical devices.

I have searched the internet and have come up empty handed about this.  I was curious if Autodesk sent out a patch or update where we can use dynamic blocks for electrical devices.  It would make it a lot easier to have one block for multiple 2x4 light fixtures.

I'm running 2016 & 2017 MEP

What you want can be done, you just have to put the time in to design this light fixture block. DynBlock forum is here if you want help creating it https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/dynamic-blocks/bd-p/154

But MEP comes with it's own library of blocks: are you waiting for Autodesk to design and implement a DynBlock of all the symbols there? If so, you'll have to wait for some time, AFAIK there are no plans to revamp ARCH or MEP databases into DynBlocks anytime soon.

BTW your MEP forum for your MEP dedicated question is over here https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-mep/ct-p/2036

The answer is no.  They have catalogs of different parts/symbols/fitting/etc.  Some of these objects have different sizes which is similar to changing a dynamic block.
