Space Attributes to SVG

Hi,

I have a requirement to create SVG for a floor plan from CAD, with different rooms identified as different colored spaces with unique ID/Number/Name/tag etc. As a first step, I tried creating hatches for each rooms and generated SVG using a 3rd party SVG converter, and the Hatches came as SVG path in triangles rather than the polygons. That is the SVG polygon was broken down to smaller triangles, which is not what I need. 

Secondly, if I need to add attributes such as Space ID/Name/Number etc for each rooms, what is the preferred method? Using SPACE command or any other method? In SPACE command, I can add Description & Name for each SPACE created. I need to know if there is any method to export this into another format like SVG, HTML5 or any Web exchange format. I am yet a novice in AutoCAD environment. Please help me with your suggestions 🙂
