New Duct is Not Connecting to Existing

Hello. Every once in a while I run into a problem with MEP where I have duct being run from two different directions and I need to connect it but MEP just refuses to accept the connection even if I ensure it lines up perfectly. I was trying to work around that problem when I noticed that I was having an even bigger problem today: when actively adding ductwork (DUCTADD), turning the duct resulted in the new elbow not being attached to the straight piece placed immediately before it. Attached you will find the pared down file if you would like to see this in action.

Thank you very much for your time.

Sorry not having any problems with the attached file. But I have had the same problem before. Usually closing MEP and reopening it fixes the problem. It seems to happen with plumbing lines more the ductwork with me.
