Changing menu display units from metric to imperial

Hello all,

I am using AutoCAD MEP 2017. I am having trouble figuring out how to change informative units of a block from metric to imperial. My drawing units are set to imperial, however, when I insert a block that is provided by AutoCAD (i.e. a diffuser, grille, register, etc.) it displays the dimensions in metric in the menu. So a 24" x 24" diffuser displays in the menu as a 600mm x 600m diffuser. Is there a setting to change this displayed information?

You need to make sure that you are starting Autocad with the Imperial profile and that you are loading the Imperial Catalogs.  The Imperial Catalogs will load automatically when AutoCAD MEP is started using the Imperial shortcut.  You can switch to the Imperial profile also and your catalogs should switch.
