AutoCAD MEP 2016 annotative blocks aren't scaling correctly

We are developing some new standards and methods of doing things at my office and one of the changes I've been making is utilizing dynamic annotative blocks. I've taken those blocks and made them into a tool pallette. On any plans where the annotative scale is 1/8" = 1' the blocks come in at the correct scale. But when I insert a 2'x2' light fixture into a 1/4" = 1' plan, the fixture is half the size it should be (1'x1' not 2'x'2'). I created the block on a blank 1:1 company standard template and I'm using AutoCAD 2016.

Thanks

Hi @NickD22,

Thank you for posting your question here in the community.

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue here, but I'd like some clarification to see if I can help.

Which parts of the block are scaling incorrectly? Just the geometry, just the text, or both?

Could you record a Screencast illustrating how you created the block, added it to the tool palette, and then showing how it scales incorrectly?

Hi.  Thank you for responding. I got my issue sorted out, though.

What I ended up doing was drawing the light fixture to the actual 2'x2' dimensions and made only the attribute annotative and it worked.

But again, your response is greatly appreciated.

Hi @NickD22,

Glad to hear you got it sorted. That sounds like a much simpler workflow!
