where can I find the system variables of auto-selected at AMSHIDE

Hi,

I meet a problem when I use the AMSHIDE command in AutoCAD Mechanical 2004,
it's automatically select the background, also I can add it to the
background. but I didn't need to automatically select. There are a checkbox
in Mechanical 6 can turn on/off it. but I can't get it in Mechanical 2004?

I'll appreciate for your help!

Rick

Does anyone have an answer to this old question? I need to find the same thing. (BTW, I am running 2004 DX)

Options->AM:Structure->Hide Options->Automatic Background.

Keep in mind that AMSHIDE uses structure. AM2DHIDE still has the same interface as before.

That must be a setting in 2005, it doesn't show up in 2004. See the attached image.

You are right. Sorry about that.

In 2004, you can change:
AMOPTIONS -> AM:Preferences -> System -> PowerPack -> Parts -> Rep2d -> hideAutoBg"

Change the value to 0, to disable auto hide.
