I use vb6 to create a dialog box that gathers my input and preforms calculations and passes results to Autocad . I use a full version of VB6 not Vb built into Autocad. I pass the results to Autocad via a text file that Autolisp reads. The autolisp routine will then draw some lines or shapes but mostly just inserts many blocks at locations calculated in autolisp. VB is used to tell Autolisp which blocks to use.
The lisp routines are not that large and the vb dialog boxes are easy. This has worked for me for many years but I am wondering if there is a better way? Autolisp is picky but I have not found another way to run the command line.
Any suggestions
