text on solid curve e.g pipes

Good day guyz...

 

 

1. How to create a extrusion text on the body of the pipes in autocad2010 version?

 

2. How can i draw a circle tangent to the body of cylinder in autocad2010 version?

 

Please help. I'm much greatfull to have your reply in details, step by steps instruction.

Create text choosing an appropriate font that would look like a profile, something like “SWISS721BT” (other fonts work as well). Using express tools explode text, creating polyline outlines.

 

Change UCS  perpendicular and centered to text, create a circle (pipe OD size) then another circle OD of letter extrusion height. Extrude both circles subtract inner from outer, extrude letter outlines to at least beyond the barrell created, using interfere uncheck “delete interference objects” you now have solid letter parts union individual letter parts for each letter.

 

I believe interfere was/is available in 2010
