Sweep command & Alignment

I want to draw a nut. Sweep command was used to create thread. When Sweep command was used in a different way thread visibility was differing. Drawing and Screenshots are attached.   

 

1st Diagram 

When Sweep command was used in the following order thread was invisible.

SWEEP Select object to sweep

SWEEP Select sweep path

 

2nd Diagram 

When Sweep command was used in the following order thread has become visible.

SWEEP Select object to sweep

Alignment

No

SWEEP Select sweep path

 

Please explain the reason for variations

What is supposed to be compared?  There is only one AutoCAD file attached and it doesn't have any Sweep features - therefore of course it doesn't look like either of your pretty pictures.

I want to draw a thread in the nut. In the process I placed the object at the end point of Helix, my drawing shows this, red colour is my object and cyan colour is my Helix.

 

There are two ways to proceed.

 

1st way

Activating the SWEEP command and selecting the red colour object and pressing enter key then selecting the Helix and using the subtract command which gave the thread which was in Dia1.

 

 

2nd way

Activating the SWEEP command and selecting the red colour object and pressing enter key then NOT selecting the Helix instead selecting ALIGNMENT option, then selecting NO option, then selecting BASE POINT option and choosing point where red colour object and Helix are meet and then selecting the sweep path and using subtract command which gave the thread which was in Dia2. Screenshot is attached for 2nd method. Also screenshot is attached.

 

I wish to know the recent for variation.Method.png

Why are you learning AutoCAD?

 

There are plenty of imaging softwares avialable.

For instruction on leaning AutoCAD - attach *.dwg examples here - not mere pretty pictures.

I have to follow the college. From next week they are going to teach Inventor.

I think you missed my point. If your intention is to learn AutoCAD - then attach the AutoCAD file rather than mere pretty pictures.

 

But having said that - here is a pretty picture of your part.

This thread does not look like real world part and will hang at this location.

And in one of your files you did a subtract and in the other you did a combine.  In both cases you did not follow the instructions in the document I posted here weeks ago?
