section view of 2Dsolid

is this an autocad 2004 mech dx bug?
start a new dwg, create a 2Dsolid, then a few extra lines over the solid, now create a blowup view (section view) at 2:1 and encircle a portion of the 2Dsolid and lines...
when the view is placed the 2Dsolid will not appear in the blowup. it seems section views of 2Dsolids (also fillet welds) will not display...
is this a known bug?
