question on Autocad Mech 2010

HI,

In AutoCad Mech. 2010, I draw a line 10 inches long, but when I put a dim on it, the dim comes out at 80 inches long.

How do I fix this? Some varible of 8 exits here.

Thank you,

Ken

Look in dimension style, modify, primary units, then under measurement scale near the center there is an adjustable scale factor.

Still have a issue. Went into dim style and primary units. The scale factor shows (1), but the dims are still

coming out 8 x size.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ken

OP for one thing I see reference to inches, units set to unitless, and dimension overrides. Try setting units to architectural and then draw at 1:1 the true length of your lines, for starters...

This wouldn't happen to be a block that was sized to fit and then exploded, would it?

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted 🙂

THIS DWG WAS FROM A OLD SOURCE. DO NOT KNOW ITS ORIGIN. LETS JUST MARK IT CORRECTED AND

ACCEPTED.

THANKS BOB.
