What is the difference between a polyline and a 2D polyline? When making a dxf from Inventor, AutoCAD (mechanical 2013) identifies slots as 2D polylines. FastCAM (for use with our plasma cutter) does not recognize the 2D polylines as closed geometry but when the slot is drawn by hand and converted to a polyline, AutoCAD identifies it as a polyline (not a 2D polyline) and FastCAM will accept the geometry as closed.
