Parts reference how to

hi, i have some questions about part reference in autocad mechanical

I want to put part reference in my block so i can use the BOM part list to automaticly count and show information about some block in my drawning

so far i have make my block and add a part ref ,it is showing in the part list and everything is fine

but i want to be able to use the leader note tool to display the description of that part reference and it won't work

i've made a template in the note symbol window to use the bom attribute i want to show but when i select the part reference it dont show anything...

what i'm i doing wrong

i want the leader note to annotate my block the way it does with content

is it possible?

You may use AMBALLOON command.  AMNOTE will annotate only standard parts (content).

1. Command : Ampartref>>block option>>Pick the block>>Add more component properties in the dialog if required apart from NAME and click OK

2. Command : amballoon>>Pick the block>>Place the balloon.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
