Hi Lucel,

You may export Solidworks drawing in STEP or ACIS format.

Import this 'neutral file format' file in AutoCAD Mechanical using stepin or acisin command.

Thanks

Lucel,

Have your Solidworks user export the file in Step or acis format. probably he/she might be knowing how to export the file.

Launch AutoCAD Mechanical-->Open a new dwg file-->command: stepin or acisin-->check if the import is successful.

Thanks,

Sridhar

When your SWx operator Save As type ACIS (*.sat) make sure that Options are set to v7
or
Download free Inventor LT from http://labs.autodesk.com to open the *.sldprt and convert to dwg yourself (Applications>AEC Exchange>Save As DWG solids)
or
zip and attach the file over here and ask someone to convert it to DWG for you http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=78
