Mechanical leaders and weld arrows don't stay where I put them

After annotating base and detail views with weld symbols and leader notes, all of the arrows move away from where I placed them.

This will only happen after saving and re-opening files.

Anyone know how to get them to stay put?

There could be several causes.

One would be that you place them on viewports based on scale areas - which you have zoomed/scaled in paperspace. These may get updated upon save to their scale area settings - leaving your symbols off.

The symbols are badly associative, if at all (as the annotation monitor shows), so they do not follow changes in the postion of the objects they should be connected to.
