Inventor Link issue

Hi

We model in Inventor using the multiple solid body model technique.

I have an issue with the Inventor link option in Mechanical.

I am able to link an assembly which contains a number of part files. Within each part file is the derived solid body part file.

Obviously it flags an error in regards to the derived part file. But however the parts are visible in Mechanical.

This all works fine until I modify the solid body part file and update the assembly. In Mechanical it flags updates required for each part file that has been modified. Issue is it doesnt update the parts once the update tool has been activated?

Is this a known issue? Can this be fixed asap if it is? Thanks

OK it seems to work but you need to save the Inventor file 2 times for it to allow an update in Mechanical.
