import/export geolocation

Is it possible to export geolocation from one drawing to another?  I'd like to be able to copyclip the geolocation and pasteclip it into another drawing.  Both drawings have the factory in the same location relative to the world axis.  I just don't want to have to go through the trouble of orienting the marker again.

Have you tried PASTEORIG? Or even copy with base, using 0,0,0 as base, then paste at 0,0,0 in second drawing? Once pasted in the second drawing, you could orientate the UCS by object.

thanks for your response!  I'm pretty sure my UCS is set up the same with both drawings and I'm familiar with the procedure to copy/paste geometry and maintain location from one drawing to the other.  My question has to do with geolocation.

As AutoCAD Mechanical combined with AutoCAD, it provide the function SetLocation. You could use Insert > Location > Set Location > From Map or From file to insert the geolocation. For more information, you could find it from help: About Setting Geographic Location. http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-plant-3d/learn-explore/caas/documentation/PLNT3D/2014/...
