Why I can't use PowerDimension with hidden line?

Can you be more specific about the issue? What kind of hidden lines are you using? Any steps?

I've Autocad Mechanical 2010

When i try to use power dimension (AMAUTODIM not AMPOWERDIM) with line of layer AM_3 It doesn't work.I've the message "impossible to build dimension".it's not important how lines are selected, one by one or throught a window
